This council is a working group of SFDI which will meet and discuss on Healthcare activity related aspects, what is happening within it and proposes promotional activities for the members from healthcare sector.

India Healthcare Summit 2017

Location - UK Parliament, London

September 12, 2017

Healthcare service providers from UK and India, policymakers from UK and India, Members of House of Lords & House of Commons gathered at the UK Parliament on 12th September to exchange healthcare related information as the two nations seek ways to extend access, improve quality, and lower the cost of care to their citizens.

 

Panel discussions during the summits focused on opportunities that are available in Indo UK healthcare corridor, role of medical apps in health care reforms, necessity of developing world class healthcare in tier 2 and 3 cities in India, innovations in healthcare which can help healthcare providers to optimize their resources, improving patient outcome and experience, benefits of Ayurveda and ethical sustainable healthcare. Some of the British MPs who  participated in the summit included Lord Swraj Paul; Mr.Virendra Sharma MP ( Ealing Southall ); Baroness Verma - Former Energy & Climate Change Minister and former International Development Minister, United Kingdom and Mr.Bob Blackman MP (Harrow East). The summit was extensively covered by Times of India and other regional newspaper across India.

UK India Healthcare Summit 2016

Location - UK Parliament, London

July 26, 2016

UK India Healthcare Summit 2016 was held at UK Parliament, Westminster, London so as to  promote business activity and partnerships between Indian and UK healthcare service providers.  UK India Healthcare Summit  2016 was the 15th meet of "business meet" series, which have been held at British Parliament, London over the last few years and these business meets have so far engaged around 2250 delegates so as to  promote trade and investment between UK and India, specifically South India. The business meet was chaired by Chairman of Indo British All Party Parliamentary group British MP Hon Virendra Sharma MP and was  also attended by two other British MPs,  former Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury - Seema Malhotra MP and Mr.Bob Blackman MP (Harrow East). A total of 20 speakers shared their expertise during the 4 hour meet which had about 100 delegates who had registered to attend the meet.
